مجموعة مستوحاة من الأشكال الهندسية في التصاميم الشرق أوسطية، تطرح تعبيرًا جديدًا لكل ما هو تقليدي.
Ikea has announced its latest collaboration with Lebanese designer Nada Debs for LJUV, a new home collection that is described as a blend of traditional Middle Eastern patterns and simple Scandinavian design.
أعلنت Ikea عن آخر تعاون لها مع المصممة اللبنانية ندى دبس لمجموعة LJUV المنزلية الجديدة وهي مزيج بين الأشكال التقليدية الشرق أوسطية والتصميم الاسكندينافي البسيط.
Named after the Swedish word for delightful, the collection will include a mix of big and small decorative and functional items like floor cushions, rugs, trays, ceramics and glassware aimed to make hosting large gatherings easy. Each piece is created in Debs signature style of mixing material and patterns with handcrafted techniques.
وقد تمت تسمية هذه المجموعة باللغة السويدية وهي تعني "المبهج" ، وستتضمن مزيجًا من قطع الكبيرة والصغيرة بعضها مخصص للديكور وأخرى عملية مثل الوسائد والسجّاد والصواني والأطباق والأواني الزجاجية التي تهدف إلى تسهيل حفلات الاستقبال الكبيرة. وتركت دبس بصمتها المعروفة على كل قطعة وقد ظهر أسلوبها في مزج المواد الخام مع الأشكال بتقنيات الصناعة اليدوية.
Growing up in Japan, Debs studied design in the US and
currently lives in Beirut where her work has spanned furniture design, craft,
art, fashion, and interiors. Working extensively with crafts in
particular, the designer focused
on a making this latest collection more affordable, light and flat packed,
while incorporating traditional design techniques and patterns to create a
regionally focused aesthetic.
ترعرعت دبس في اليابان ودرست التصميم في الولايات المتحدة وهي تعيش حاليًا في بيروت حيث توسّعت أعمالها لتضم تصميم المفروشات، الصناعات اليدوية، الفن، الموضة، والهندسة الداخلية. تولي ندى دبس اهتمامًا خاصًا للصناعات اليدوية، وقد ركّزت على جعل أحدث مجموعاتها هذه بمتناول الجميع، خفيفة وبسيطة مستخدمةً تقنيات التصميم التقليدي والأشكال لتخلق من خلالها جمالية خاصة بهذه المنطقة في الشرق.

"أحب أن أسمي عملي "بالتصميم العاطفي"، وهو يعكس الطبيعة العاطفية للأشخاص الذين يعيشون في هذه المنطقة من العالم".
A few of Debs favourite pieces from the collection include the low table, which allows light to pass through and features an unexpected combination of ceramics and brass. The floor cushions also stand out, displaying the hexagonal shapes that recalls the geometry most common in the region.
إحدى القطع المفضلة لدى دبس ضمن هذه المجموعة هي الطاولة المنخفضة التي تسمح للضوء بالدخول عبرها وتتضمن مزيجًا غير متوقع من السيراميك والنحاس. الوسائد الأرضية متميّزة أيضًا بفضل أشكالها المسدسة التي تذكّرنا بالأنماط الهندسية التي نراها في المنطقة.
“In Middle Eastern craft, darker shades of wood with toned-down colours are common, but we wanted to brighten it up and give it a fresh and light modern feel to reflect the identity of the many young people. It is contemporary, but you can still feel the Arab identity in the products,” Debs added.
"في الصناعات اليدوية الخاصة بالشرق الأوسط، يكثر إستعمال الخشب الداكن مع الألوان الخافتة، ولكننا أردنا أن نضيف إليها لمسة مضيئة ونعطيها رونقًا جديدًا وعصريًا يحاكي هوية الأجيال الشابة. إنها مجموعة عصرية ولكنها لم تخسر هويتها العربية" تضيف دبس.
The LJUV collection will launch in February 2020 in selected markets in the Middle East.
